Laura is a fourth-year student of the BA (Hons) in Communications in Creative Multimedia in Dundalk Institute of Technology. Laura’s aim is to become a specialist Branding and Identity Designer after the course is complete. She has gained first-hand experience working with clients on a freelance basis. Over the past two years, Laura has designed for several companies to help them achieve their branding and identity requirements while meeting creative briefs and tight deadlines.
She has worked as the lead graphic designer for three large group projects between 2013 and 2016. Through these projects, Laura gained experience creating designs for various elements of branding. A key aspect of the role included designing promotional items such as logos, posters, business cards, flyers, program guides, cd covers, e-zines and websites. Laura has also designed for in-game graphics, installations, props, interfaces, an exhibition and large-scale projections.
Laura is proficient in MS Office and the Adobe Creative Suite, with particular emphasis on Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash and InDesign. She has gained experience in a wide variety of design areas such as Visual Communications, Animation, 3D Modelling and Animation, Human-Computer Interaction, Creative Design, Advanced Web Applications and Digital Visual Design as well as Video Editing, CSS, HTML, and WordPress.
